Ryan Anderson is an Australian with an awesome mission: he wants to save every single dog in the world. Every part of his life involves dogs. He works for the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (RSPCA), and spends his free time fostering, volunteering with rescue groups, and promoting rescue dog fundraisers.
Ryan told The Dodo that his love for helping rescues initially started as a challenge to meet every dog breed in the world. But as he met more dogs, he saw how much help rescues needed.
He now wants to spread awareness about rescues and educate the public about good pet ownership. He encourages people looking for a new pet to consider a rescue as a first option and shares stories of his adventures meeting dogs from all over the world on his Instagram account, “Aussie Dog Guy.”
You can clearly tell just how much he loves dogs
And they love him right back
He only has one dog: a Rottweiler named Goose
He doesn’t own a lot of pets because that gives him more room in his home for fostering rescues
Anderson has dedicated his life to helping rescues find good homes and has no plans of ever stopping. He told The Dodo that his dream is to own a rescue farm to help foster long-term rescues. Follow him on Instagram to keep up with his doggy adventures!
