How easily do you forgive people that harm you in some way? Do you hold a lot of grudges or let it all go? You don’t want to make yourself susceptible to further harm from someone, but at the same time there are no benefits to holding grudges. It’s best to forgive but never forget. After all, grudge holders tend to have more health problems and struggle with inner peace and happiness.

Knowing how your Zodiac sign impacts your ability to forgive can help you move past hard feelings and start living your life to the fullest.

Aries (March 21 – April 19)

You are known to get caught up in the moment and say things you don’t mean. Perhaps that’s why they are quick to forgive others who act impulsively and do something hurtful they didn’t mean. Your anger never lasts long and you are able to move forward relatively quickly.

Taurus (April 20 – May 20)

As a Taurus, you aren’t the best at letting go of the past and can get stuck in repetitive behaviors and feelings. As a result, you can hold a grudge longer than most other signs. Forgiveness is often difficult to give, but it’s truly healing to let it go.

Gemini (May 21 – June 20)

People born under Gemini are known for their strong sense of communication, which is fundamental to forgiveness and working through problems. As a result, you are able to work through some pretty difficult issues and find a way to forgive.

Cancer (June 21 – July 22)

You tend to hold onto past wrongs, making it tricky to forgive people. Yet, your ability to empathize with others helps you understand life from other perspectives and ultimately find forgiveness.

Leo (July 23 - August 22)

As a Leo, you tend to get confused when someone is offended by your actions, and even more confused when someone does something negative to you. All of this confusion can make forgiveness more difficult to come by. Work on opening your mind to other ways of seeing a situation in order to find forgiveness and the power to move forward.

Virgo (August 23 – September 22)

Virgos are highly focused on improving things, which means they are great at forgiving—aka improving a relationship. As a Virgo you are a perfectionist, which makes the most difficult task of all forgiving yourself when you make a mistake. Remember, nothing in life is perfect and everything is a work in progress, including you.

Libra (September 23 – October 22)

You are excellent at forgiving others. Even if forgiveness isn’t begged of you, you are willing and ready to give it up. Sometimes you are so quick to forgive that you shortchange your worth. Perhaps you are so quick to forgive because you understand the fear that someone else will not forgive you when you make a mistake.

Scorpio (October 23 – November 21)

You are slow to forgive and perfectly fine holding onto grudges for life. Just remember that by holding a grudge you ultimately hurt yourself just as much, if not more so, than the other person.

Sagittarius (November 22 – December 21)

You’re fairly good at letting go of your anger and forgiving people, but you’re more apt to avoid the situation all together. When you hurt someone else, you tend to run away from the problem as opposed to dealing with the consequences and saying sorry. Don’t forget to let others say sorry and explain their positioning on things.

Capricorn (December 22 –January 19)

You aim to avoid people that show the potential to hurt you or let you down. You know what needs to be done to earn the forgiveness of others, but you often struggle accepting apologies.

Aquarius (January 20 –February 18)

You are one of the most unpredictable people when it comes to forgiveness. For the most part, you just need time to work it out and come around to forgiveness. You have your own way of doing things, and that includes forgiving people. Just try not to attach certain conditions to your terms of forgiveness, as it should be unconditional.

Pisces (February 19 – March 20)

You are a very compassionate person with an open heart that’s made to forgive. Just beware you're not forgiving someone for doing the same thing over and over again. Wrong me once, shame on you. Wrong me twice, shame on me. Don’t let people take advantage of your kindness, it’s ok to forgive people and simultaneously take them out of your life to prevent repeat offenders from taking advantage of you.
