The Guggenheim Museum has made over 200 books on modern and historic art available for free online. You can read the books online or download them in ePub or PDF formats through the Internet Archive to read at your leisure on your phone or tablet.

The museum has been working to digitize its collection of books and exhibition catalogs since 2012, and these are the results. Whether you’re an art history student or just a fan of art in general, you can now freely download titles like Picasso and the Age of Iron and The Italian Metamorphosis.

The collection also includes books about art from different cultures like the Aztec Empire, China, and the Russian avant-garde movement. Or if you’re interesting in exhibits the museum has displayed in the past, you can view rare, out-of-print exhibition catalogs of masters like Mark Rothko, Paul Klee, Max Ernst, Robert Rauschenberg, Francis Bacon, and others.

There are also books about the museum itself if you’re curious about its history and are planning a visit like Art of this century: the Guggenheim Museum and its collection. Checkout the full collection here and get a crash course on the history of art!
