According to a 2009 Harris poll, 26% of Americans believe in astrology. That’s less than half the population, but numbers are on the upswing. According to data from the National Science Foundation’s 2014 Science and Engineering Indicators study, the percentage of Americans that believe astrology is “not at all scientific” decreased from 62% in 2010 to 55% just two years later in 2012. The NSF says Americans are more open to astrology than they have been at any other time in history since 1983.
